Helped a customer with a problem? You will have definitely solved a problem big or small at some point.

Get your other answers down and come back to the the one you're struggling with. Something will pop into your head for sure.

I’m sure as a train guard you’ve worked under some form of disruption. Is there one that sticks out for you? What did you do? How did you keep the passengers and the driver informed. Was there any amended calling pattern? Did you make vital announcements to anyone on or joining the service? Did you think of alternative ways to make their connection?

Thank u @MostlyHarmless . Am feeling very nervous about it.
Am stuck on the number 2 question though about solving a difficult problem. What example would you use if you dont mind me asking?

Also is it okay to use one example for 2 questions if it fits?
Thank you for your time.

I had the example where we had some serious IT issues where I work and what I did to find the cause and how I solved it. In the end I wasn't asked that particular question but it fitted the STAR methodology

I think the question is looking for your problem solving skills, initiative and to some degree your resilience - i.e. did you persevere? On a practical level maybe you have had issues with your car or something at home that wasn't working and you've fixed it. At work it could be a customer related issue where you've gone the extra mile to help them.

If you can, try to have a couple of examples of ones that you're not sure about in case they ask.

Even outside of work life (pregnancy, child care issues, sick family members, holiday issues, car problems etc etc) it can literally be about anything that is a tricky situation, it's not judged on how serious the situation itself is just that you were involved to a degree and you can talk about it in some depth.

I was nervous. Am hoping I did enough. I was told to wait for a call to let me know if I was successful or not, hopefully it's good news...
I was very nervous too and had to wait 2weeks to find out I had passed, good luck and let us know :)

I failed my first attempt at the MMI too back in 2014 on just one question, then went on to pass it on my second attempt in 2017.
The first important thing to remember is not to reattempt the MMI until you are confident you're ready, as you only get two attempts at it in total. Get those experiences in and don't feel you MUST reattempt it immediately after your 6 month cool-off period. Your other OPC passes are valid for between 2-5 years, depending on the TOC, so take your time if you must.
If you're not doing so already, get yourself some experience with working under strict rules and regulations, especially in a safety focussed environment, and make a note of anything interview worthy you encounter ready to look up when you're preparing for your next attempt. :)
What happens if u fail mmi? Do u have to do everything all over again??
