Are there any Leyland Atlanteans working in Britain ?
I cant recall any, it would have to be a closed door or heritage operation of course. Are there any Leyland Atlanteans working in Britain ?
Plenty in preservation, none in PSV use.
Chepstow have at least two class 6 used for Psv usage.
Do they? I stsnd corrected.
How does that work with PSVAR?
They're used for private hires rather than local bus services.

I was told at the time that Westward Travel's ex Tyne and Wear example (EJR118W) was the last one in PSV use when it retired 6 years ago however I don't know how accurate that was.
Transport Integration in practice.Surely a bit of T-Cut and it will be fine!

Beat me to it! Not sure where put the rail report on that accident is somewhere on the internet, bus driver at fault IIRC. I lived in the area at the time and have no recollection of the event.
Bus driver was charged iirc
The link to report was actually in the comments on that flickr image. Here it is:Beat me to it! Not sure where put the rail report on that accident is somewhere on the internet, bus driver at fault IIRC. I lived in the area at the time and have no recollection of the event.
I have discussed this elsewhere and apparently he was sacked, which took some doing back then.Wonder if he was dismissed though?

As driving the ferry whilst drunk is less of a problem!!Indeed it did take some doing - that's why I asked Apparently, if a driver lost his license through drink driving, they were then transferred within the PTE to work on the Shields Ferry
I was told, but have no evidence, that a driver who lost his licence had been transferred to the metro as no driving licence required. Not sure if that is true but the world was a very different place back then.Indeed it did take some doing - that's why I asked Apparently, if a driver lost his license through drink driving, they were then transferred within the PTE to work on the Shields Ferry

He tried to make out that he'd slowed down for the crossing when the accident happened. This was proved otherwise by the witnesses who gave evidence at the subsequent inquiry, one of whom was an off-duty bus driver.
Apparently the bus was late & on a school run, should have picked up earlier but driver chose not to, very lucky no one else was on board. Anyone any idea what happened to the driver when it got to court?
