Just wondered if anyone from a recent course can advise whether you get any notification of hours/timetable for training before you actually start, or do you only find out once you turn up?
Just wondering for childcare purposes in tandem with my wife giving her own employer her work availability when I start my course.

Many thanks in advance.

It would be Monday to Friday and the course is normally based in Swindon but could change ! It's normally office hours but again that can change on what that week will be . You will also spend time shadowing a tm so will work what ever shifts they are doing at the time . Hope this helps

You'll start with corporate stuff, induction, customer service, disability awareness etc, which should be in Swindon. Usually 0900 start and finish around 4 ish. The Guards training may vary in location; I was at Swindon with a couple of days in Bristol, but one course had 4 weeks in Devon, which meant hotels for some, travelling Sunday evening and returning home Friday afternoon. You should get to sit down with a Guards Manager on your first day, in the depot, who will give you a detailed plan. You'll also get your course bookings by email a couple of weeks in advance, so you should be able to start planning in fairly good time. Hope this helps, good luck.
