Hello. I'm not sure if there's a thread but apparently the 18:50 from London Marylebone to Oxford is now 4 and a half hours late due to a power failure. Hopefully this won't break the record for the longest delay.

I'm guessing the 18:50 was a 168.

Part of the train wasn't on a platform (Gerrards Cross I believe) so passengers couldn't be detrained.

Why 4 and a half hours to get a train going? If it's diesel then your fine I'd have thought but a full electric train (rather than bi-mode) is a different matter.

I understand the 18:50 had to manually move through signals.

From what i was told when i booked on this morning it was a power failure causing loss of signalling cotrol between Neasden south junction and South Ruislip.
