Is this train still run using Croatian stock, or is it run by NightJet now, I can't seem to find a definitive answer.

I assume the other portions that split are OBB stock, but on DB app it does not mention bar service or classify it as NJ, however it is stated as operated by OBB

We used it from Zagreb to Munich last month, and all three carriages from Zagreb were Croatian. I’ll try to find some pics.

Pictured below departing Zagreb on Friday 30 August 2019. It was not a particularly great trip, northbound at least, because of the rough track through Croatia and Slovenia, and then the repeated border checks that disturb your sleep. We were checked twice at Dobova (Slovenia) by Croatian and Slovenian Police, and then again in Salzburg by Austrian Police. Going south you may get a better night's sleep, since you'll likely not be bothered by the Austrian authorities.

For your journey, the EN499 Munich - Zagreb will depart Munich as part of a longer formation with the 'Kálmán Imre' to Budapest Keleti, part of the NightJet from Munich to Venice. They will be separated in Salzburg.

Seems not the austrians, but the germans would do the incoming checks in S'burg.
Its all about the directions of assumed refugees etc-they wont go the other way in general.
Ands its nothing compared to what one now has to endure at f.e. Calais by your own ''border force'' or whatever HM wishes to name them this year-reminiscent of what the iron curtain had many, many moons ago. Asking each single member of a class/bus 13-14 year old Czech pupils going on a schooltrip to fabulous London separately about intended trips?

Thanks for the info! Looks like we'll have to have a lot of coffee and doze on the ICE later on!

As a Brit, the UKBF are still the bane of my life on my return to the UK- my passport will work any other gate in Europe but won't work them at home- and results in waiting in a queue before some pretty curt questioning on why it didn't work, what I've been doing abroad, etc etc.

Meanwhile landing at any other Airport (at least within Europe) is a complete breeze.
