On 3rd october i left bristol temple meads going towards bristol parkway. I saw a coach that had plug doors that said mainline on it, and a metro train that was yellow, they were in arriva train care, what operators were they from.

The silver ‘Mainline’ carriages you saw are from Chiltern Railways, I believe the yellow metro train is from the Tyne and Wear Metro. I assume they’re having some work done at Barton Hill, possibly PRM mods for 2020?

There is one Metro train at Barton Hill which is for scrap having had usable parts recovered.
