I will be getting an off peak zones 1-6 day Travelcard (paper ticket) either this weekend or the next on Saturday. I know it is valid on the Underground but is it also valid on the TFL rail services between Hayes & Harlington and Heathrow Terminal 4?
I am aware it is NOT valid on Heathrow Express at all but when I look on different sites I get different information whether it is valid on TFL rail to the Airport or not with some saying it is and others saying it isn't so I am unsure if it is or not.

Anything that claims it isn't valid is out of date (or simply wrong!)

Yes, definitely valid to Heathrow on TfL Rail, as was announced in May 2018 here:
https://tfl.gov.uk/info-for/media/p...nect-services-ahead-of-elizabeth-line-opening
Thanks for the link I had not found that page.

It was a page on the TFL site that said a Travelcard was not valid to Heathrow but your probably right in that it was out of date, I had not thought of that so next time I will check more closely for the date.

Yes, it is valid.

FWIW, the best value way of travelling reasonably quickly to/from Ee'throw from somewhere in the SE where both journeys are off-peak is to book a pair of outboundary (super) off peak Travelcards online, one for the outward day and one for the return day. You can now collect from Heathrow, too, there's a TVM there somewhere (I forget exactly where).

It is also valid to terminal 5 using the Heathrow express transfer service from Heathrow central. It is not valid on the Heathrow Express between Paddington and Heathrow Central.

The transfer is free without a travelcard, with just a gate pass, anyway. I made use of this validity yesterday, and can confirm the paper travelcard worked the barriers at Terminal 4.

Definitely a couple of them at Terminal 5 arrivals.

UIVMM all the TfL Rail TVMs at the Heathrow stations offer TOD ticket collection, though there are also others within the airport's terminals. (Absurd that it took years for TOD ticket collection at Heathrow to become an option though.)

Yes, however people transferring off the trains at Heathrow central may not be aware they can use their travel card to exit and enter terminal 5 and leave the platform area to get the inter terminal ticket.
