London TravelWatch has welcomed the start of a 12-week trial of video-linked ticket machines at four stations on the London Overground network after a consultation carried out by the watchdog last year.
The trial, which starts this week, will take place at Camden Road, Crystal Palace, Bruce Grove and Woodgrange Park. It will give passengers access by video-link to a member of staff who will be able to help guide them through the ticket purchasing process and provide other assistance if needed.
