Your results last 5 years with them. So I presume that long.

Did anybody else get a phone call today from Freightliner? Asking a few generic questions:
-Was I still interested?
-Notice period at work
-Happy with lodging away
-Any holidays booked
-Confirm depot of choice
-Happy to have a medical as and when required (if offered a role) , that kind of thing.
The lady said they were making plans for more training courses next year, and everything is subject to course availability, depots that have positions, and if my scores were the highest out of people wanting my depot.

yes I got the phone call. In the pool for Reading depot but am a little worried as I’ve heard that a course at Reading started a few months ago. Who knows

Yep, got the call too. Also hoping for Reading and was told February onwards there may be a course.

I got a call yesterday afternoon, first correspondence since I passed the tests and interview nearly a year and a half ago!! fortunatly I start with a TOC in two weeks time

Just because a course is at Reading, it doesn't mean the trainees are for Reading. Half of Crewe's classes last year were for other depot trainees

The second course after us were all trained away from Home Depot aswell.

Hi guys, I'm new here, I have some questions about train driver jobs. Do anybody know if already I am qualified(not here in UK) and I have experience in driving trains what should I do, the issue is I never drove trains here in UK just back in my country, around 5 years, 2 for freight trains(DB Cargo) and 3 and 9 months in passengers trains ( underground /tube trains) :smile:

You would still need to start from the bottom mate and come in as a brand new driver. The only thing your experience would count for would be to help you through the interview process.

Strange how they keep reopening recruitment. They must have hundreds still in pools for these areas?

This advert covers both Wembley and Reading, which I'm in the pool for. Gives me some positivity actually. They clearly need people for these areas and anyone in the pool now is way ahead!

Passed all assessments late 2018 / early 2019. Been in the pool since Jan 31st like a lot of people here. (some here have been in the pool even longer though)
