Batley, Slaithwaite, Mossley and Garforth are just some of the difficult locations.

When the Cl 185 started getting used on these routes, we saw the issues more frequently. I've been told since that the hydraulics have been give a bit more oomph so it, thankfully, now happens less

Hate to be that guy, but if you mean the the air pressure then no changes have been made, 6 bar is the operating pressure and always has been!

Another thing that can happen on canted track is if the door leaf catch bolt is slightly out of adjustment (too low), it can foul against the rotary locking latch (mid point of the door) that it normally engages with in the closed position. In this condition, when the door opens it will foul and if lucky will 'jump' over the tip of the latch that it has caught on.

It was more that the language used sounded official.

Not sure if that is supposed to be a compliment?

Hence my comment that I'd been told about the hydraulics - not a technician or engineer so happy to be corrected on any of that kind of stuff. Something has definitely changed though because I travel between 'problem' locations at least once a day and the door issues have definitely reduced from what they were.

As a regular 185 user it happens quite frequently, Garforth is one station where it happens. Some guards even tell passengers to push doors if they stick. Equally watched a group of passengers look at a partially open set of doors at Malton one day and ended up at Seamer. All it takes is a gentle push outwards.

I doubt there will ever be a sticker on the door as if someone had an accident pushing the door outwards, i.e. following an instructional label, the TOC would be liable, as even if they didn't follow the instruction, it could always be argued that the instruction was unclear, etc.
Earlier this week there was a manual announcement on arrival at Deighton along the lines of "if the doors don't open fully, give them a gentle shove".

Possibly just natural improvements including all the usual faults I've listed during the time they've been operating the stoppers in response to defect reports. Certainly nothing done to increase the 'oomph' anyway.

most guards would rather make a quick PA to encourage passengers to give the door a gentle push, than have to traipse through and reset an egress or Passcom

185109 threw a leg out of bed this evening on the 1653 Leeds to Huddersfield, after sitting at Morley (thus blocking the up line at the start of the evening peak) for 30mins. I suspect it may have been an ASDO fault, given how long it took to release the doors at both Batley and Dewsbury, where the service was terminated short causing extra crowding on the following Airport and Southport services.

C-ASDO has been disabled since the disastrous switch on in July. Tests are ongoing but there is still some work to do according to the latest update.

Clearly wasn't that then! Might well have still been something to do with the doors, given the time they took to release. Things still all over the place at Huddersfield thanks to the delays.
