TPE Nova 3 (Class 68 + Mk5s) updates and withdrawal from service

Test Runs/FFR TP08
Fault free running trips continued with TP08 this week. Perhaps the runs finishing on Tuesday indicates the set is about to be accepted. That would certainly help with the introduction of additional diagrams.

Nova 3 in passenger service
This week saw the introduction of a new Nova 3 set into passenger service with 68028 plus TP06 appearing on the Saturday.

Monday to Wednesday there was one diagram in operation, Thursday to Saturday saw two diagrams.

Service alterations have been mainly due to shortage of train crew with 1E51 east of Manchester Victoria proving to be particularly problematic.

You can see from the information above that they run the 0941 and 1041 from Scarborough (1038 and 1138 from York to Leeds) at the current time until sufficient staff are trained to start a diagram at Scarborough.

If anyone has the coach numbers for rakes TP06, TP09, TP11 & TP12 that would be most apreciated. Struggling to see them listed in my Platform 5 books. I was at York this morning and saw loco 68026 and only made a note of one of the coaches (12733).

That would imply 1E51 remaining at Scarborough overnight. I wonder how many Scarborough crews are currently trained up on Nova 3?

I suspect that if it does happen then 1F54 0652 SCA-LIV would be a prime candidate for Nova 3, especially given how rammed that train is from York! Loco haulage from Garforth anyone?

1E37 is now 185115.... 68030 + TP12 worked 5H60 to Longsight.

Training for Scarborough crews is running a little bit behind, it will happen but maybe delayed whilst the training programme catches up.
