Yes
I mean, if anyone knew the timings of the MK5s, I could go TPE to Leeds and then Azuma down to Kings X...
Or, more likely for the time being 802 to Leeds for Azumas South.

Meh. If I'm going to go Leeds, I'd rather do a Mk5 then an Azuma. No point doing two 80x trips.Or, more likely for the time being 802 to Leeds for Azumas South.
Or two Mk5 might be even better than only oneMeh. If I'm going to go Leeds, I'd rather do a Mk5 then an Azuma. No point doing two 80x trips.
From looking at the LNER Azuma section on LNER's website, it looks as though 10-car Azuma's will only be used on the routes to and from Leeds and London.
If I've understood this correctly, are the 10-car Azuma diagrams the routes to and from Leeds and London because if they have to run as 5 coaches, it won't be all the way to or from Scotland?
Will the Middlesbrough services not be (if and when) 5 car?
(Replying to post #2380 on the LNER Class 800 / 801 Azuma thread in the 'Traction and Rolling Stock'
section)

Plus, as the 5 and 10-car Azuma's lack a Quiet Coach, having this to and from Leeds and London isn't so bad when you think about the distance between London and beyond Edinburgh.
Does anyone know when the 1E03 Stirling to Kings Cross, and 1W22 Kings Cross to Stirling service changes over to 800's,,,
Thanks for that, funny enough thats the week i'm free, although the 1e03 ex Stirling is a bit early for me, I will prob get a ScotRail to Edinburgh then Azuma to York , have a few hours there and then get the 1w22 back north from there,,,,thanks again,,,,j18th Nov I believe

Are none of the Friday services pre 10:00 calling at York in the southbound direction Azumas? I've just been looking for cheaper fares via Leeds until I realised I had the wrong date. Switched the date, took out the 'via' point, but none of the Friday services pre 10am are listed as an 'Azuma' service.
When does the daily return to HGT make the switch?
Does anyone know if there is a regular/fairly regular 8XX diagram that does Doncaster to Leeds via Ferrybridge, or would it just be the occasional diverts
I don't think any LNER services to Leeds go that way? The 2200 from Kings Cross to Newcastle goes that way and once that goes over to Azuma will therefore be a regular via Ferrybridge but otherwise that's it as far as I'm aware. The 2333 from Kings to Leeds goes via Knottingley but hangs a left and carries on towards Pontefract rather than up towards Ferrybridge.
Looks like 9 December for the morning train and 18 November for the evening train.
No currently the timing loads that RTT is using are the same as they always have been. Your best bet is to use the LNER journey planner as that will show "LNER Azuma" next to services which are booked to be an Azuma.Which Edinburgh southbound services are currently booked Azuma and can you tell from RTT which are ?

Surprised the York-London "stopper" services won't go to the 5 car units (as 10s), unless the idea is that they stay interworked with longer trips?
I did say "As 10s", meaning as pairs. But if the diagrams interwork (and will continue to do so) then that makes sense. If you put a 5 car on those, they would be full and standing before they left York.
Also they Interwork, ie 1402 to Kings Cross then forms 1730 to Edinburgh.
