You're pretty much on the money. The Tridents tend to appear on the 75/76/90 though did see one for Essex example on the 24 the other day. The recent ALX/President cascades are found.... 31143/6/32225 do appear on the 3/4, 30945 has been on the 3/4 but has also been on the 2 and other route whilst 32222/3 have appeared on the 70

Can't help on the Lawrence Hill e300s but think the Hengrove ones have appeared on the 90/91/92

Lawrence Hill Enviro 300s have been on the 42/42A/43 but not noticed any during the last few days. Bath Enviro 300 was on the 19 this evening.

A lot of the ex Scotland stuff is on the 24, some branded. One E300 on the 72 today and one on the 24 a few days ago.

Also on the X39 today was one of the ex Airport Discovers revisiting Bristol!

Thanks all! If anyone sees any of the E300s or non-tracking Tridents on Saturday, then I’d really appreciate a quick post of what routes they’re on

44553 tracking as U1 today and this evening... was there really an E200 on the U1 for the evening shift? I'm guessing driver clocked in with wrong vehicle number, but if not, then very strange for that to be on the evening service when all the clubbers are hitting town...!

It really was running last night. There's a U3/U1 board that parks in the bus station between peaks, and often if the original bus ends up being used for something else, then the driver will take anything spare from the bus station, which often turns out to be an e200. 44526 did that duty only a couple of weeks ago!!

I'll keep an eye out in Kingswood. I'd say you're unlikely to see an E300 on the 42/43 on a Saturday. There was one on the 19 again yesterday, and given Bath's random approach to vehicle allocations maybe there will be one on Saturday. Perhaps a trip from Kingswood or Staple Hill to Cribbs Causeway on the 19 might fit with your plans?

That would be much appreciated thanks Vic. I’m going to start at Parkway Station then travel around - over to 3/4 then a round trip if you will via the 24, 17, 6/7 into city. Then I’ll try again for Tridents and E300s if none spotted by that point on Hengrove area routes, maybe 24 again. Hopefully there is an E300 on the 19 tomorrow, but depends if I see it or can get to it really

I see on the Glasgow thread pictures of several 53 reg Transbus Tridents reportedly going for scrap. I wondered if these would have made suitable Q busters.

Most have defect stickers on the windscreens, perhaps too costly or too difficult to repair?

Nothing to report this morning unfortunately. 42/43 seem to be purely B9s as expected for a Saturday. Nothing to note on the 19 either.

I imagine they are completely and utterly shagged, 16 years spent entirely in the two harshest bus environments in the country probably hasn't been a good thing for them.

Clearly the Tridents from Essex have had a comparatively easier life since they left London.

It may be a combination of things. Working in Glasgow is perhaps easier than in Essex. Might also be that, IIRC, more road salt is used in the Northern half of the country so corrosion can also be an issue; mind you, I'd be surprised on a 16 year old vehicle.

Read on the Glasgow thread these pictures are not of the scrap line and some may only be VOR. Given that the Tridents are probably the oldest buses in Glasgow I imagine most are due for the chop.

Managed to bag 67632 on the 72 though only E300 I saw. A very nice sounding bus, quite nostalgic too seeing as they used to do the 144 route in South Birmingham where I live. Can’t ever remember going on one on there, but saw and listened to them probably hundreds of times, though I wasn’t as into buses as much then!

Apparently Bath now has 13 Solos 53806/16/18/20/51-59 with Steve now confirming 53815/7 gone to Cymru. Solos run on Bath routes 2/6/6A/7/8/9/11/12/20/42 but I don't know the total PVR of all these routes. However I would think there could easily be a shortage of the Solo size of bus. E200s can be used on 20 and 42 but I don't think there are many of those spare. As TGW has reminded, deckers can run on the 1 instead of the normal E200s if necessary-not that many deckers are spare these days now it's Uni term! I've noticed on Bustimes today 53815 is on U5 and 53818 presumably VOR as not been in use since the end of August. Maybe 53815 hasn't been released to Cymru.

32075 is showing as 53815 on Bus times, so I'd presume that both Solos have gone. I believe there are 11 e200s in Bath (44520-6/553-4/6/907), which is more than enough to cover the 1 & 179, as well as some 20 or 42 workings. The issue at the moment is that they are regularly ending up on the 5 or 19/19A due to some severe B7RLE shortages. 66732 & 66884 have been VOR for some time, and yesterday none of the 66881-4 batch were running. Perhaps this explains the e300s not going on to Wells as initially planned?

You won’t know whether they’re in service or not with Cymru as Cymru vehicles don’t track at present.
