It would appear 319214 has finally entered traffic with LNWR, just saw a clip of it passing Stafford coupled to 319216.

First time that's carried passengers in 2 years!
319426 has now been moved to Loughborough for TfW

It wouldn't be carrying passengers at Stafford though. Would be empty to Kings heath or bletchley.

Yeah, I assume so, I should point out that both units were empty with the lights off in the clip.
214's new wheelsets looking very nice and fresh.

Just heard that the HydroFlex demonstrator being converted from 319001 will be known as 799001 instead of 769001.

I take it the overhaul was for traction motors and bogies? I wonder if it will get any LNR branding.
Half correct, it was there for new bogies and wheelsets. Doubt it'll be getting LNWR branding, they didn't bother giving any to the handful of other ex-Thameslink 319s they took on.

Unsurprisingly there are only ten 319's left at Long Marston
319001 as 799001
319004
319009
319010
319011
319428
319451
319453
319454 innovation train

Yeah, all of that lot are PRM incompliant. Shame that 319001 and 319009 in particular (for obvious reasons) won't be seeing passenger service again, although at least 319001 gets to be part of the HydroFlex project. The exception is 319428. Why's that one being kept back? It is one earmarked for GWR, so I don't know why that one's the only one due for 769 conversion that hasn't been moved out of Long Marston.

Rail Live 2019 is at Long Marston later this week so a possible explanation is that they're using 319428 for a 769 showcase event or something there.

Also are TfW ever going to bother letting us know which /4s they're taking on? They announced 426 would be one of them a while back, but nothing since. Although I assume the other three will be 421, 444 (the only two PRM compliant /4s that are unaccounted for) and 446 (the only other PRM compliant /4 that could possibly be available).

It was RAIL magazine which confirmed 426 as a Flex unit, not TfW Rail.

Also, there is no requirement for TfW, or any other TOC, to let us know the specifics of their fleet movements. Information that comes out does, and if information does not come out, then it doesn't? no point in sitting on the edge of your seat for something that might not be known until it rolls off the line from conversion!

In light of the above, where is 422? It's one of the last few I need for sight but its escape from Long Marston has passed me by.

What's happened to 319009?

Even with all the extra 319s LNWR have taken on, there's still short forming. I had 319220 on its own on one of the evening Tring - Euston stoppers earlier.

Well at least some of the seats were better with a 319/2.
True lol. It wasn't too crowded as it was going into London rather than going out of London, but it was heaving when it left Euston for its return to Milton Keynes.
