The person, a man in his 60s, I saw being charged £50 had a Flybe approved tag on his bag, attached on a previous flight, and fit into the sizer on both width and depth, sticking out of the top by a couple of cm. To all intents and purposes, the bag fit. But no, out came the card reader and the attitude.
Oddly the stag do lads didn't get their bags checked. Funny that!
People have, which is why Flybe were days from going bust, and why Easyjet are knocking them out of the park on regional domestic flights.
My bag was within the permitted dimensions- and it was a challenge to find a bag that did meet them, I can say that for nowt- but it'll make me think twice about Flybe. They clearly can't be trusted. I'm certainly in no rush to take the purple permitted tag off my bag.
