I am dreading what is going to happen on GA in January with all that non compliant rolling stock.

yes obviously GA are relying on getting a dispensation from PRM laws for huge numbers of EMUs and Mk 3s but what about the DMU situation? EMT and Transport for Wales just have to manage without the 156s and 170s they have been promised?

anyone know what the problem is with the 3 car bimodes? and SDO on the bimodes? they have had a long time to get sorted

The opposite, if contracts are signed unless they have a clause allowing otherwise then GA will have to be the ones managing the consequences of the delay. Hence the 170s have already started departing. EMR need the 156s to make the timetable work in December.

Yes the 3 cars not having been approved by the ORR yet is curious, given they are almost identical to the 4 car save for a missing intermediate car and 2 fewer engines. You'd think it would be little more than a rubber stamp excercise.

As the new stock is slowly being introduced, what is the plan for all the 170s, 153s and 156s?
I know some 170s are moving to TFW but are they all moving or just some?
All 170s and 153s are going to TFW
156s to East Midlands I think( not 100%sure on this one)

170204 had been moved up & mostly out of Colchester shed as I passed yesterday morning. Perhaps @swills can give us an 'out of the window' update ;)

The 156s will be going (fairly soon) to EMR as a short term measure deal with PRM compliance and the franchise requirement to have all trains be 2 carriage or more (they will only be there a year or so though)

317506 has finally come back out to play. Wednesday evening was its first run I think. No sign of 501 or 504 yet. I think 337 and 502 are currently at Kilmarnock.

All six sets on Stratford to Stortford are pairs now so that takes the number of diagrams up to 46. With the four above out of traffic that only leaves 51 units to cover those 46 diagrams.

Poor girl has had a rough few years. Spent far too long having plastic surgery to repair her face over the last few years.

Really hoping I get a chance to drive 204 before it's off to Wales

Any info on what exactly has been done to them compliance wise? Do they Universal bogs fitted?

Well, is this the first 755/3 and 755/4 multiple working to Cambridge from Stansted?
Facilities on the 22:10 Stansted Airport to Cambridge due 22:44.
Will be formed of 7 coaches instead of 8.

What's strange is it doesn't say due to a train fault or give any reason, which suggests that it may well be something that is planned rather than an EMU that has had a single coach surgically removed.

Unless there's a coach locked out on an EMU?

But if that was the case, it doesn't explain why there are no other services for the rest of the day with the same problem, it suggests that there is a specific train operating aht service that doesn't do anything else?

No 755/3s in traffic. Just sounds like an issue with an 8-car EMU to me. Vomit in a coach, door issues?

Actually no Stadlers in public service south of Cambridge yet either. They would require a guard & training has only just started with them in readiness for the December launch.

Just strange you'd use an EMU like that for one service when you didn't have to, because none of the trains before that are showing as 7 carriage which indicates it's comign from the depot, entering service, running one service then going back to depot?

Stadlers cannot run DOO yet as ASDO is not cleared hence the problems calling at stations with short platforms too. It has been decided that trains will be DCO operated right through to the airport.
