Is there anywhere that a 10 car 458 hasn't yet been? It's not unusual for them to work on the inner suburban lines.
Don't think they have run to Guildford, either via Epsom or Cobham, but that would be about it.

Don’t think they’ve made it into AC land yet... so no further north than North Pole for sure.

Well when the were 458/0’s they were a regulars on Guildford-Ascot
First introduced they were on Waterloo-Alton fairly often and the pre Plat 3 bay at Woking they used to appear on Guildford-Waterloo via Woking stoppers

There was a UK Rail Tours trip with two 458/0s shortly before the last of them went to be converted into 5-car units. It travelled beyond Basingstoke and I have a photo of it at Worting Junction, but I can't recall if it went as far as Southampton.

IIRC it went all the way to Poole

I used to see them regularly at Fleet on the Basingstoke stopper, obviously in their white incarnation as 2x4 coaches

I was on it. It went to Poole. Went as far as Haslemere on the Portsmouth direct.

I've seen at least one rake past my garden shortly after the refurbishment was concluded, so they have run via Epsom - but I understood it to be an empty stock move, possibly a trial of some kind in case there was ever any operational need during disruption. I cannot remember where it was going either, although I would suspect Guildford...

My original post was split out by a mod, unreasonably IMO, from another thread so is unsurprisingly being taken out of context...

They’re mostly Windsor line workings. But they can turn up anywhere a 455 can in my experience. I’ve used them to get to Raynes Park. Usually once or twice a month. I don’t pay much attention to the destination as I can take so many different trains so it may be that I’ve never got one going to Guildford for example, but I’ve certainly used them in both platforms 3&4 at Raynes Park.

Another planet...
Have they ever been up the Hampton Court branch? Unlikely as doubles I'd guess, as it was strictly 8-car max back when it was my local.

I might be wrong, but I'm sure they have. The platforms at Thames Ditton and Hampton were extended to 10 cars like all the other mainline suburban stations, I believe.
