Hello again. Another question but this time for my partner.

He is travelling from Leicester to Nottingham this evening and wants to be in Nottingham at 7pm.

He makes this journey often. And usually catches the 6.22 pm train from L to N. But.... due to problems on the line is it likely this train will be late. And if so would he be better off catching the 18:26 which gets him in late - is this a local train rather than one from London?

Likewise the return journey. He normally catches the 9.29pm from Nottingham to Leicester. Is that likely to be disrupted due to the problems on the line to London? In which case would he be better planning on the 10:01pm and is that a local train so perhaps?? not affected by the problems on the line to London.

Thanks for any help.

The 1826 is indeed a local train so less likely to be disrupted (though there could be knock-on effects). But if the 1822 is up to ten minutes late at Leicester (perhaps even a bit more) I would be tempted to wait for that as it would still be likely to overtake the local train before East Midlands Parkway.
