That’s nice to see. What were they doing? Driver training maybe?
Some sort of training day for GWR, went to Norton Triangle. Rumour has it there’s a class 50 siting in the bay at Exeter st David’s for route learning to coleford. Think I’ll head down there 2moro.

Really? I’ll have a look for that when I go past later.

Good few hours spent at a Model rail show at weekend. Plans for my own layout coming along.

Great to see Anthony. It was pretty hectic to be honest but at least we had a chance to chat.
I was surprised at how big the show was, there were some top quality layouts there...

Yeah it’s a nice setting but don’t think it works spread across the buildings. One larger hall would be ideal.

I liked old elm road layout. Loved western on military train.

Was that the big Southern green one in the room next to us?

Yes. Liked how the cars/buses moved along the road.

Kings Cross on a Sunday Evening - ticket barriers are open, and azumas are less used on sundays, so 91s and HSTs are, for the moment, more common on a sunday. saying this of a trip 2 weeks ago and experience at other London stations.

one of them mini adaptors which also saves the cards memory? however these cant store much
Ended up buying a iPad SD card reader from maplins before they went bust at a expensive £30 but it’s been money well spent as I can upload pictures to iPad for storage in case lost of memory card.

Really want to be at Bristol Temple Meads on Saturday 30th November to see the class 50s leave on th3 Railtour, just to have been able to see a Vac at Bristol. But the earliest train from Taunton arrives in to BTM 25 minutes after they depart.

Could get train late Friday night but don’t want to have spend 6 hours on a platform in November. With nothing to see.

Any tips for overnighting on at a Station
Yes. Don’t do it if you’re over 25!
Can’t you drive up Anthony? Or is the car off the road?
You need to be sure that they’ll let you stay on the station. They might not be helpful.

Car is fine but I'd rather not have to drive to Bristol and have to find parking then drive home.

GwR twitter saying BTM open 24 hours so should be okay.

Really tempted to do this.
