It would be nice to see a 314 preserved but regrettably I don’t see such a thing happening at this rate :(. Angel Trains did say they were gonna set one aside for preservation last year but I don’t think that’s the case anymore

Various groups have been approached but no one wants one.

All the 314s will be withdrawn from the December timetable so only a month and a half to catch one.

Or if Bo'ness is going to get a set? Hard to argue that they've not played an important part in Scottish railway history over 40 years....

Around Glasgow on the lines they have run . If your from Aberdeen they are foreign ha

Richard Clinnick has tweeted that there is talk of a repaint/revinyl of a 314 into a classic livery to celebrate their 40th birthday.

A Strathclyde Red repaint would be fantastic and a great opportunity to tart up the scruffy 314205 for its final stint in service.

BR Blue/Grey would be original, if a bit dull.

I agree with others - Stratchclyde Red would be a good shout.

202, 205, 210, 214 and 216 have all been out this week. Haven’t seen 209 recently and the elusive 203 hasn’t made an appearance for a while.

You need a set up like London Underground which can operate ‘depot pets’ and send them out on the occasional jolly. Merseyrail would massively benefit from a similar setup as no doubt the 507s will get a similar finish when the sets retire. A nice run out on their final trip, but ultimately becoming Pepsi cans if we still have the current set up and the 502/3s being in exactly the same position as the Scottish 303/311s. All dolled up and nowhere to run.

314216 currently working 11.25 service from Glasgow central- gourock. It had been on the xx.12 services to Paisley canal.

314205 is on the xx.42 services to paisley canal.

314203 and 314210 are both at shields and 314214, 314202 and 314209 are all at corkerhill.

Wonder where 203 is lurking these days? I've given a half a thought to it being quietly repainted into 'Intercity Swallow' to commemorate it's final few months in service...

Surely Blue/Grey or Strathclyde Red would be more appropriate? ;)

Rather scruffy SPT-liveried unit on the 1115 Central-Central, possibly '205? It's scruffy enough!

I’ll need to get back on the remaining 314s asap before next month. It would be nice to see one repainted in a retro livery; Strathclyde orange and black for me!

I don’t understand why 205 has carried on for so long in its state, as surely it must be racking up fines under SQUIRE? Even accounting for the graffiti that has been cleaned off, it’s still in an overall grubby state, and there is also left over graffiti that extends past the orange safety line at the top (which I appreciate must be more difficult to remove)
