Yes. To be specific (pre BR):

West Kirby and New Brighton to Liverpool Central (electrified) = LMS lines.

Rock Ferry to Liverpool Central = Mersey Railway.

Operationally, however, the MR also ran the weekday New Brighton services and LMS ran the Rock Ferry services on Sundays.

West Kirby to Hooton,
Birkenhead to Chester/Helsby and beyond = GWR/LMS joint.

Seacombe- Wrexham/Chester = LNER (though the Seacombe branch itself was owned by the LMS).

Testing continues on the 230 battery/diesel configuration which will power the five TfW 3 car units. But no sign yet of any actual TfW units in full livery. You would hope that all the units are complete inside and out ready for the power rafts to be slotted in when any tweaks following testing are completed. The first unit should have been delivered to Wrexham "early summer" (2019).
Thanks to Peter Tandy for the images.

Any news regarding the actual new units (006-010) seems that there are no photos or anything to suggest that they are being built.

Wouldn't surprise me if they've all gone up in flames however!

Unless their production workforce have been sat twiddling their thumbs since the WMT units, the TfW units will definitely be going through the workshop. You'll be hard pressed to find any photos or information in the public domain before Vivarail officially unveils the first unit.

I think there's a suggested delivey date of the end of Feb for 006. There's a regular path in for 002 to make it's way from Long Marston to Wrexham but I think that's a case of it will happen when it happens.

Fair enough, I'm just talking from my experience with the company. As @Skip 10 has written, if the first unit is to be expected for delivery next month, Viva will put out a press release when it is ready.
To be fair they are good at that when they have something to say. Looking forward to seeing them when they do move to Wrexham.

The news on their website is of 40 miles 'officially' achieved on battery power (news item dated 15th January)

This is a separate project relating to the development of a "fast charge" system for the Class 230 BEMU. It's not strictly related to the TfW 230s, although the experience gained from the testing of unit 002 will be relevant.

Have to ask, does anyone have any news on when the five TfW 230`s will be delivered to Wrexham? These are nearly 12 months late and its not Transport for Wales` fault, but no doubt they will take the flak for the delay.

There will probably be no news until there is something definitely known, i.e. one on the way

That would follow the Marston Vale, where there were whispers but nothing concrete, then all of a sudden one went into service (and rapidly back out again, starting a debacle that still hasn't finished and I hope is rather better on the Borderlands).

How did you find the regular path? I've been checked RTT for a while, not a lot seems to be coming out of Long Marston or Honeyborne North junction.

Something almost happening at last! Does anyone know when is 002 expected to arrive, and where it will be stabled between trips. I've not been able to track it down as yet, and I haven't visited Long Marston because I didn't think I'd be able to see it from a public vantage point. Or can you?..... Ditto for 001 - I've not seen that one yet either. Thanks, all

Noticed there was supposed to be a movement from Lobg Marston to Canton today, it was booked as 15X, but seemed an unusual move to me. It was cancelled due to a fault with the unit.

That would have been a 153 had it run. Don't get excited yet but wait until you see a definite path. It was TIMED as a 15x not necessarily booked

You would very much struggle to see any rolling stock at Long Marston without having access to the site itself.

I think 001 essentially acts as a test mule and/or yard shunter now.

Many thanks D365 - I'll give visiting Long Marston a miss then. But it's be great to see 002 whenever it's out and about on Borderlands runs.
