If you mean the Eurostar set then that's a shame, but since the Eurostar sets are counted as multiple units and not locomotives that still makes 91110 Britain's fastest electric loco. Can the Eurostar power cars actually move themselves without the extra bit of bodyside grill on the leading coach?

For those who maybe interested, 91124 was evicted from Wabtec Doncaster today after several weeks of being in there and was in Doncaster Platform 2 Bay this afternoon waiting a driver to take it to Bounds Green

They can. And not wanting to open a can of worms, they are power cars of a unit not locos.

Seems a long time since the infamous 91116 returned to Bounds Green from Wabtec after weighing. Does anyone have an update as to when this loco is going to return to the ECML please?

From what I’ve read, it still requires work doing to it which is what’s happening at Bounds Green. Since the diagrams appear to be covered by the in service locos, I would have thought it will only be needed back in service when other locos have their turn having an exam

Then out to Bounds Green

Thanks a lot for that info re 91116. It's long awaited return to traffic seems very short lived. I don't understand why it abandoned its diagram half way through the day. Have they found another problem which will keep it on Bounds Green for days or weekss again?

Having missed the opportunity to be hauled by the infamous 91116 yesterday after its very brief escape from Bounds Green for a visit to Leeds and back, I would very much appreciate hearing from anyone that sees it working or knows when it will come back out again. Hopefully, after repairing the "leaky window" it may venture out for some fresh air tomorrow Sunday (after the Lincoln diversions finish) or, more likely Monday morning?.

Allocations are normally done about 0200 on the day.

Given that it’s just come back from a rebuild I’d expect it will have a fair bit of time until it’s due another exam, so would imagine it will be out. However I don’t know how many usable locos there are in the fleet at any one time, and there is an ever decreasing number of diagrams for them.

Thanks for that info. I appreciate its not straightforward but hopefully 91116 will stay attached to its set of coaches/DVT given to it on Friday whilst the quick fix is done to the leaking window. However, 91109 is also "on the starting blocks" after arriving back at Bounds Green from its overhaul at Wabtec on Friday.

Maybe, just maybe, this next few days for the "shy" 91116.

109 is already back out working today, started on 1s04 6:15 Kings Cross to Edinburgh today.

Yes both under power, and this arrangement is rumoured to be being repeated to test the new OHLE north of Bedford.

After many months of maintenance at Bounds Green 91116 came out and did 1 return trip to Leeds on 1st November (which I and many others missed). It went back on Bounds Green at lunchtime that day and has not come out since.

Does anyone have any contacts that maybe know some estimate for this loco returning to traffic please? Also, 91101 has been out of service for several weeks - - any known estimate for this loco to venture out on the ECML again. Many thanks for any positive news.

91101 is in service today, currently working 1S15 11:30 London King’s Cross to Edinburgh.
Not sure when 91116 will be back.

Thanks for the current diagram for 91101 today. Looks like 91116 is back in "not to be moved" status for whatever reason. Hopefully someone will advise us all when she finally escapes from incarceration at Bounds Green.
