Why 2 different Shunters classes 05

Have always wondered why class 05 was allocated to 2 different batches of shunters there was Barclay build and Hunslet build all of which except D2554 withdrawn 1967 during the shunted cull of non standard build. All the others had no TOP’s class allocated so why did the 05

Just been looking at three different publications regarding your query Mr D, but the only one that refers to the Andrew Barclay version (D2400-D2409) as class 05 is the Platform 5 Diesel & Electric Loco Register the other two don't actually show any class number for these. Do you reckon this could be inaccurate?

From Wikipedia:
"The British Rail Class D2/5 built by Andrew Barclay Sons & Co. were reported in several sources as having received the TOPS class number 05,[1][2][3] though this was in error, and they are not listed as such in the latest works by Marsden, 2011.[4][5]"

The Diesel and Electric Locos for scrap list the Barclays as 05 and i remember seeing it in another publication but cant recall what it was
