There is an emergency timetable due to railway being washed away at Pontralis.
Our posts clashed. Nothing to do with Pontrilas.

one of the two 150/0s (1984 3-car 150 successful prototypes, one of which was the 154 used for 158 development but converted back).Just seen a 3 car 150 (think it was a 150 anyway) in GWR colours going through P7 at Shrewsbury. Bit far north for one of them right?

One of the 150 prototypes was At Crewe to get retention tanks fitted

No because its GWR fleetAhh, so nothing to do with TfW then? Ok.
No because its GWR fleet
I think there was a plan for them to transfer at one point, but they're now being kept at GWR for the same reason as the 143s - lack of 769 introductionI understand that. But I didn’t know if TfW were procuring them. It’s not unreasonable to think this given the amount of new stock being brought in from elsewhere.
quite possibly!Wasn't the plan for Northern to take them rather than TfW?
Thanks for sharing!Tfw have released a new blog yesterday outlining some rolling stock plans

There is a small gallery at the bottom of the page which seems to show that one of the 769's had had an interior refurb.
Thanks for sharing!
The 769 interior with the TfW moquette looks good.
I'm disappointed that Colin claims that the 170s are "newly refurbished" - that's clearly the GA moquette and the original carpet...

One of our key commitments was to speed up journey times between north and south Wales. From December this will be in place, shaving off more than 40 minutes on the current journey time.

They were refurbished in 2017 so I guess 'recently refurbished' would have been more accurate.
That's all I can think of. (It's 15 minutes quicker from Holyhead to Cardiff, so that's over fourteen covered too.)Does anyone know what this impressive claim (from the blog posted above) is based on?
That would be a huge improvement if true, but I can’t see anything like it in December’s timetables.
(The only thing I can think of… the 17:16 Bangor–Cardiff is going to be fourteen minutes shorter from December, and someone misheard?!)
Misleading or a positive spin? There is a Loco hauled service from December that makes it from Cardiff to Holyhead in 4hrs and 15min where as the usual time on 158 is 4hrs 50 mins the service misses all stations between Shrewsbury and Wrexham and almost all the north Wales coast stations out to do this though. But the saving is almost 40 minutes as claimed. So one fast service a day allows them to make rather misleading statements it seems.
That’s about the time (or maybe just a little quicker) the current Gerald takes though, so not a 40 minute acceleration. Doesn't look like a refurbishment to me. Reminds me of what ATW did to the 158s around 2007 before they were actually refurbished in 2011-2012 - retrim the seats in new moquette that now doesn't match the 10-15+ year old original / previous carpet that has been retained. TfW can't claim "refurbished" until they actually get them to TfW spec (like 175001/002/006/011)They were refurbished in 2017 so I guess 'recently refurbished' would have been more accurate.
They're referring to the 230s and 769s - "we were planning on introducing 14 refurbished trains; unfortunately these are delayed". 9 153s will be added to the fleet - 5 from Greater Anglia and 4 from West Midlands Trains.I did notice they stated they were getting 14 refurbished trains in December in addition to the 12 class 170s and 153s from anglia
