I’ve been informed from an internal source that five ex-Caledonian Sleeper Mk2 vehicles will be transferring to Network Rail, due by the end of the year. These vehicles will temporarily be incorporated into the UTU (ultrasonic test unit) formations as part of a drive to eliminate discharge toilets from the infrastructure monitoring fleet. No details on which specific vehicles are involved.

Sound like Eastern Rail Services is doing well with finding new uses for these Mk2s already. The ones going on hire will have to be the BUO's as they have the modified toilets.
