At a guess they have just taken the original 243 number and added on the 17x323s and 8x769s. Not including the ex-WMT 17x323s because they will be refurbished at WMT before cascade.this is interesting where has the other 25 come from?

Won't the WMT 323s have to be refurbished into Northern livery and have their seats recoveredAt a guess they have just taken the original 243 number and added on the 17x323s and 8x769s. Not including the ex-WMT 17x323s because they will be refurbished at WMT before cascade.
Of course, this double counts the refurbs carried out on the 319/4s before they they were sent for conversion to 769s!
don't if it's the right thread but there's a couple of movements this week between allerton and long marston, more 319s for storage?;

Livery and seat covers is just rebranding, not refurbishment. The tweet specifically says "...we are also refurbishing....".Won't the WMT 323s have to be refurbished into Northern livery and have their seats recovered
Either way I count the change from the orange WMT livery and interior to the Northern livery and interior as a refurbLivery and seat covers is just rebranding, not refurbishment. The tweet specifically says "...we are also refurbishing....".

But repainting a unit and swapping the seat covers after a transfer isn't a refurbishment, it's a rebrand.

So whats the differenceFully agreed. Not a refurbishment.
Will the WMT 323s still make up the numbers?the 17 northern 323s and 8 769s make up the numbers, WMT 323s don't join the fleet til 2021.
Will the WMT 323s still make up the numbers?
What else will make up the 268 units if the WMT 323s aren't? I can't see the 319s making it up since they're leaving Northernno, it's what i've posted in 6104 that will make up the numbers.
150/1 on it's way back to newton heath;

probably CET fitment, already been PRM'dHas 116 been for it's digital mods (and hopefully new seat covers) as it's already PRM'd?

At the moment I count the 268 units as the following243 units been refurbished add the 17 northern 323s and the 8 769s, that makes up the number to 268
Quite - I very much doubt that Northern's twitter team attempted the complex arithmetic of @Harvey B 's calculation. Especially since the tweet included a graphic with the original 243 number. Too much of a coincidence that 243+17+8=268!ask the folk that run the northern twitter page, i'm not an expert, just going off what they say on there and what folk are telling me on the facebook groups.
Something went the other way to Wolverton poss another 156.156421 has now returned to Newton Heath.

I was on 150203 this morning (0850 Wigan Wallgate to Man Picc), and either the engine kept cutting out in one half (that I was sat in), or it's been fitted with some sort of stop/start or fuel saving thing.Fathoming out the current state of Northerns fleet PRM mods and interior refresh quite a challenge as to units having various levels of treatment.
My take being:-
1. Bathroom sized toilet, PIS system and PRM mods. No CET tank.
2. As above but with CET tank.
3. Same but exterior repaint in new livery.
4. As above with interior redecorated.
5. As above with new sets covers.
6. As above with new seats
7. As above with wifi phone charging.
8. Drivers cabs refurb with CCTV etc.
Just my thoughts. Must be a nightmare to keep track of.
