Seems weird. Why does the Single price vary.

When I select a Single journey, it is £18.15 but when I select a Return journey, the Single price somehow shoots up to £18.80
Journey from Three Oaks to Four Oaks.

They are different tiers of Advance fares (with a railcard).

If it helps, you should be able to get an itinerary via Sevenoaks with this fare.

Advance tickets have different tiers, and availability changes. The second screenshot is for the day after and so advance availability may differ.
