I have just stupidly booked two non-refundable Travelodge rooms for three nights commencing Sunday 12th April. Stupidly because I didn’t realise that’s the Easter weekend.

I know it’s probably far too soon to know what engineering work may be happening, but barring that is there normally a pretty standard Sunday service on Easter Sunday?

PTSO or platform depending on the weather

Depends on whether there is any major track renewal/signalling upgrades or other work

Perhaps you could contact your TOC to see how far ahead they publish their engineering work?

Thanks. Yes I appreciate the possibility of total line shutdowns. One of us is travelling from Euston (going to Lancaster) and myself from Southport. Scope for endless complications!

Managed to get the hotel changed to the end of April, for a £5 per room fee plus the difference in rates. Don’t want the worry of waiting for closure information.
