Streets - "If Love Should Go"

and "Move On"

*** Not to be confused with The Streets -- this is Steve Morse (ex - Kansas) and his band ***.

A genre I listened to in my youth but not something I would normally revisit these days. But my god this was amazing.

Listening to that I thought "I know that riff" which led me to The Prodigy who sampled this by Max Romeo which I'd never heard before, I think what I recognised was the underlying reggae rhythm. Anyway thanks, I always like a bit of reggae. By the way Max Romeo was infamous in my youth for having a record banned by the BBC.

An absolute classic Dale.

Alan Davey - Al Chemical's Lysergic Orchestra

Alan Davey is an interesting figure. The guy plays in a band called Bedouin, complete with headscarves etc, but he's also pally with a slightly National Front-y/biker element and used to attract that crowd to Hawkwind gigs. He was very pally with Dave Brock, which owed to his longevity in the band as well. Musically he probably did the most to pick up where Lemmy left off in Hawkwind, which put a lot of balls back into the sound of the band, so you can't fault him there!

I'm Instagram friends with Mr Dibbs, who took a bit of heat from Davey's fanbase when he started playing in the 'Wind.

I'm currently enjoying a Jethro Tull streak at the moment. I picked up Warchild, Heavy Horses and Live! Bursting Out last week and I've had these on constant rotation since.

Does anyone else like Tim Minchin?
I think he’s a genius. This is quite long but if you haven’t seen him before then give it a go.

Thank you God:
(fast forward to 5:20 for the music)

Thank you Cowley - I've been praying for a Tim Minchin song and here's another one, It must be a miracle. On the other hand if I didn't have Tim Minchin I'd probably listen to somebody else.

I don’t think I’ve heard that one before (although I may have heard it whilst tipsy and forgotten).
