delaps...? and thanks very much for that info!
Dilapidation repairs - basically bringing the unit up to the standard that they should be in and as required by the leasing company at handback.

that does make sense. according to national rail there was flooding today between Gloucester and lydney, lines have since reopened but there are 40 minute delays. there's also speed restrictions between Worcester (doesn't specify which station) and cheltenham spa.
if they're being held back for this reason then I would suggest they'll be on the move again tomorrow if all goes well.

Speed restriction between Worcester Shrub Hill and Cheltenham Spa due to flooding near Aschurch for Tewkesbury.

The units that ran from Cardiff Canton to Tyseley earlier in the week were 170270 & 170272.

Seen by a friend at Stourbridge.

That in theory means that there are 5 x 170 at Tyseley, 170202/04/06/70/72

That makes perfect sense considering I was at boarding school locally in 07 and we l remember how bad that was. However as an aside I'm amazed they haven't sorted the area out considering how often it floods, it's not like it's the old route to Malvern via Upton.

Back on topic, does anyone know how much work has been needed to bring them up to the standards required for the handback to the ROSCO?

So how many does GA still have?
5 still with GA - 170201, 170203, 170205, 170208 and 170271.

To my knowledge, 170201 and 170205 will be the next ones to leave Norwich.

[5 are at Tyseley - 170202, 170204 and 170206 which haven't gone to Cardiff yet, and 170270 and 170272 which are "based at" Cardiff but went to have work done.

The remaining 2 (170207 and 170273) are actually based at Cardiff]

thanks for that :) are they just going to Tyseley initially...? do we know when the next move on to Cardiff is...?

You will only find out by keeping an eye on RTT. This information never seems to be forthcoming from any other source

only to Tyseley though to join the 5 other 170/2s there: "202", "204" and "206", which haven't been to Cardiff, and "270" and "272" which had been at Cardiff. Those 7 170/2s are at Tyseley to have work done on them.

Only 2 ("207" and "273") currently are actually based at Cardiff. The remaining 3 still based at Norwich are "203", "205" and "271".
