It was the Bree Louise. Does it count as accessible by rail if it was bulldozed for a white elephant vanity project HS2?

Old White Hart, Beeston, Leeds. 25 minute walk from Cottingley station, unsure if that counts as accessible by rail or not.

Ignoring those that do not need a train for me (usually):
1. The Brunswick Inn, Derby, 1 train, for anything that takes my fancy.
(perhaps the forum could promote a monthly session there, I would be a regular :cake::)).
2. The Fat Cat, Kelham Island, Sheffield, 2 trains, 1 tram and a walk, for the Pale Rider.
3. The Coach and Horses, Norwich, 2 trains, for the CHB and the Flintknappers Mild (@5%) if its back on!!!

The Railway at Mobberley. A great rural location with a smashin’ beer garden and bowling green. About 50 yards from the station, on the Mid-Cheshire Line, but also about a mile from the end of the runway at Manchester Airport so great for planes on departures or arrivals, just depending on which way the wind is blowing.

The most overrated pub in Derby ! If you go there, take your own glass with you...

Queen's Arms, Cowden Pound, Kent (aka Annie's, aka Elsie's.) A step back in time, about 15 minutes' walk from Hever station and others on the Uckfield line.

Bar Luzz, es Pujols, Formentera. Unfortunately it's up for sale so might not be there much longer.
In the UK de Hems in London, in Manchester Centre Stage bar in the gay village, and in my home town The Cave deep in the vaults, and the Alma, and finally my local opposite the station (Piggys) here Kevin The Barmaid's been dressing as a woman for a month trying to raise money for Postrate Cancer and that was 6 weeks ago and he's still going last I heard. Attaboy..
But one? Bar Luzz. XXX

The Station at Irlam, literally the station building, where I had a full English breakfast this morning. Skipped the draught Dizzy Blonde on this occasion...

Another planet...
The Taproom in Batley. A friendly real-ale pub which is a bit of a hidden gem thanks to being on a bit of a backstreet. Most ale-trailers only go as far as the Cellar Bar opposite the station, and those that make the 5 minute walk into town usually get distracted by the Wetherspoon's before they reach the Taps... it's their loss!

Decent pizzas available too, during the day.

Two from me. I only visit pubs when I'm "home" for a holiday, nevertheless, good pubs are what make Britain great !

The Hop Vine, a stone's throw from Burscough Bridge station. Micro brewery on the premises and superb pub grub.

Wigan Central. Built in the arches under the WCML viaduct beneath Wigan North Western station. Craft ales and artisan pork pies.

I used to like the Boathouse at Wylam although I haven't been in for a while and I've read bad things about the landlord recently. Certainly used to have an array of hand pulled real ales plus two kinds of pickled eggs. The ones in the cloudy jar weren't for the faint hearted. Practically on the westbound platform at Wylam. Cycled there from Durham with a mate once, lovely ride along the river. Had an extra pint, fell in the Tyne on the way back.

Two questions:

Is the number of pickled egg kinds a genuine marker of pub quality?
How can there be two ways to pickle a egg?

I always feel that you can tell if a pub or restaurant is decent by whether it offers a cheeseboard or not. Only good places seem to have cheese boards.

My favourite pub is the West Riding Refreshment Rooms, Dewsbury Station. Sadly I no longer get there often.

I used to have multiple places I liked, revisited them a couple of months ago and sadly they're just not what they were.

I do almost all my consumption at home now. Much more comfortable and enjoyable!

Great Western, Wolverhampton.
Totally concur re The Great Western, Wolverhampton. Great beer and food.

The Station, Codsall is fantastic too. Especially worth a visit for their beer festival too.

Salopian Bar in Shrewsbury, not far to walk from the station either down the riverside.

I have a few, but the Glue Pot in the railway village in Swindon is a real favourite, and is within stumbling range of both the bus and railway stations.
