The reply is not becoming of a senior member of staff and I'm sure it won't last long.

I've reproduced it here before it is taken down!

Thank u for ur feedback. I'm sure ul not care about the colour of the interior when its winter outside ul just want the train to take the strain! Lol

I mean "text speak"!!!!!

Have Hull gone down the route of installing USB sockets below the seats in addition to the plug sockets, like on the TPE 802s?

Or is it three pin sockets only similar to GWR?

I cannot think of any situation in which it is acceptable for the representative of a company to use the word "lol" when communicating with a customer.
Use of the letter u to avoid reaching the character limit is dubious but acceptable on twitter. Use of 'lol' is not :P The entire sentiment of the post is also wrong. 'You won't matter what the train's like, just that there is one' - fair comment given the unreliability of 180s but also not the attitude that should be used when new stock is introduced, especially not, as pointed out, by an open-access operator.

This isn't the first time I've seen 'language' like that used on certain social platforms by certain individuals.

So reading the reply to that tweet tells us what we need to know. WorstGroup Director tells us that we shouldn’t be bothered about the interior. So it is - as we long suspected - company policy not to give a stuff about the punters. At least she’s honest.
It looks like it’s in response to the customer saying about the colour of the interior not “being warm”, that’s it. It appears to me it’s meant as a light hearted comment, not an official statement. I’d take a response like that any day over corporate nonsense peddled out by a lot of others!

To say it’s company policy to not give a stuff about the punters is somewhat stretching it..! Perhaps not the most “professional” of responses but hardly the outrage being made out.

Getting back on topic, I quite like the interior personally, certainly nicer than GWRs!

Is exactly how I saw it, too. But then, I don't have any axe to grind with HT (mainly because I'm not involved with the company at all other than as a very occasional user).

I saw one at wandsworth road this morning and could have sworn it had the typical First purplish colour on the carriage doors but the ones linked on this thread dont.

I'm not quite sure why they rearranged their seat reservation allocation system a month ago when they were never going to get 3 different types of train in service that soon.

Probably right. They are being delivered with doors in the dark blue and having them changed to rubine red (pink) when the decals are applied. You probably saw 802302 and/or 802303 which have just been delivered from Italy.

I thought the doors were grey not dark blue

Also some doors on 802302 are pink and some arent

According to Hull Trains "All seats benefit from 3-pin plug and USB sockets, located between the seats, so no need to lean over the person next to you to charge your device"

The seat covers are really nice considering, well the pattern used is for either class

The inside in general as with all class 8xx is still just as bland with the only difference being the carpets and seats and the colour of the strip where the reservations are

I've heard a rumor that tomorrow will see the first public running of 802301. Overheard staff on 1A91 from BEV to KGX this morning.

Edited: Spelling!

Running it with no or hardly any pre-notice makes me think the 1st class catering will bd unchanged i.e. limited and just a microwave rather than a kitchen like the Azumas.

Well something looking remarkably like a kitchen can be seen in this video of an HT 802, at 2.37.

As for future menus, we'll just have to wait and see what happens when all services are 802s. They can hardly change the food offer while a mixed train fleet with different kinds of catering equipment is still in use.
