Due to an incident on London Bridge (the bridge), London Bridge Station is closed. Trains are passing through without stopping. Trains are not starting from London Bridge.

https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/service_disruptions/236856.aspx

The police are dealing with an incident at London Bridge, meaning that trains are currently unable to call at the station. Disruption is expected to continue until further notice.

What's happened?

Because of an on-going Police incident at London Bridge, NO trains will be stopping at the station. Trains will run through, but will not stop to release the doors. For your safety, please do not operate the alarms and try to alight the trains at London Bridge.

Advice for Southeastern customers:

The whole area has been closed off by the Police, so at this time, Southeastern cannot offer any alternative travel, other than London Underground.

You can use your ticket between London terminals, at no extra cost, to try and help you complete your journey. This EXCLUDES London Bridge, which remains closed at this time.

Advice for Southern and Thameslink customers:

You can NOT travel to and from London Bridge, as no trains will call at this station until further notice.

PLEASE TRAVEL to London Blackfriars for Thameslink, London Victoria for Southern services or London Waterloo for South Western services to Clapham Junction, to connect with Southern services.

I think the knock on effects will be quite severe though not a great commute home tonight for some

The 18.26 Cannon St to Ore will be the first service from Cannon St to stop apparently. Running about four minutes late though.

I'm not sure there are any knock on effects on the railway network, trains just didn't stop at London Bridge.

First Class is declassified on all TL/Southern services in/out of London as disruption is expected to end of service.

That was tweeted multiple times by TL on social media.

Trains running through the core were diverted via crystal palace, avoiding London bridge completely, obviously adding extra time into the journey

Oh right I had just assumed Thameslink trains would have run non stop through London Bridge like Southeastern did.

I think they were, unless at some point the approaches to London Bridge were blocked out by Southern trains?

A handful of northbound trains (half a dozen or so) were sent via Herne Hill around 1600-1700, but this was for consequential operational reasons rather than directly due to the incident. All southbound and most northbound services ran booked route but ran non-stop through London Bridge.
