I'm looking for information on on-site temporary earthing of OHLE during construction / maintenance work including what guidelines / codes / standard we work to in the UK.

I'm not sure if I need to say it, but...

Get somebody competent! Don't be messing about with it yourself!

The contractor is claiming that he's working in accordance with the green book but, they tell pork pies so, I need to read the relevant section on isolation so that I can demonstrate that, once again, they're full of hot air.

The Green Book is made up of a number of Modules with various activities contained across such e.g. Module 6 (Planning of) through to 9 (when constructing). It can be a minefield as with most NR standards as they often cross reference and in some cases contradict!

Current Version is Issue 5 but that is due to be superseded by a new version to be known as (ironically) 25000.

If you need any help drop me a PM.

I think there is a minimum number of posts that you need to make before you can PM people. I think it is 5 and you have made 4 posts so far.

If I am wrong, please advise.
