If I get through the process then I will need to move from Weymouth closer to Exeter which I am prepared to do, but when do GWR insist on living within the hour? Would this need to be right at the beginning of training or when you eventually pass out and are working full-time at the depot? I'm just trying to plan for what I will need to do if I get through my DMI.

I'm thinking of moving as I'm literally 59 mins away from par according to Google maps driving wise. Perfectly feasible but would ideally like to be closer.

Tommy, how long was the wait for you - DMI until the call, and are you at Reading? If so would you be able to get me some info on dates for Reading courses. It is just really hard trying to plan ahead not knowing anything and with no contact from within GWR as I am an outsider.

In a similar vein, does anybody know of any movement within the Oxford pool? Any course dates upcoming people have heard about?

7 months between the two, not at Reading mate so can’t help you with any info!

Just wondering if anybody's online application had changed after getting into the talent pool or does it change when you receive the phone call? Mine says Trainee Train Driver - Talent Pool. Was under the impression that it changed to something else when getting in the talent pool.

Mine still just says submitted,and talent pool and I have my start date so I wouldn’t worry too much.

It just stays as Talent Pool. Mine did anyway. Even the reference on my emails was talent pool, after being offered a job.

Hi to all,

I recently had an interview for Customer host, did everyone successful get a call? I had my interview 2 weeks ago and still nothing :(

I have emailed and they responded "your application is still under review" is this normal?

Any help would be appreciated.

Got My DMI invite as well 19th February in Exeter, plenty of time for revision before the interview!!! can't wait!! :D

I sat stage 2 on 26th November, I had the email informing me that I passed on the 2nd December. They seem fairly quick at the moment! Good luck!!

Ok cool. I received the email to say I had passed the assessments on 18th Nov but still waiting on DMI date.
I applied for Paddington so maybe there isnt a need for new drivers there...

Congratulations. Nice to see they are still moving people through the process. Sneak in now as recruitment will start to slow!
