It will be dark
Anyone know a reason for sending it back to Craigentinny? Is it being stored there? Why ECS?After the final leg of the tour (the Leeds to Kings X portion), there looks to be a very long ECS trip, from Kings X to Craigentinny Depot, so this might be the perfect opportunity for photos:

It's the HST depot so whatever is next for it makes sense that it would need to return to home base. ECS because HST services on LNER have come to an end so absent some very obliging and sense of fun having senior management it can't get back there in service!
Hope they reinstate original headlight units like the NRM power car
They missed a bit of a trick there with the run back to Craigentinny didn't they...?!
I assumed he meant 41001
Not going to happen for a tour. And anyway the NRM power car - I assume you mean 43002 - doesn’t have original headlights.
LNER state in either direction, only saw this after purchasing my Advance:This bit -
They are only offering a free ticket for the opposite journey to what you do on the charter - right? Not to/from the start point of the charter journey?
https://www.lner.co.uk/news/lner-bids-farewell-to-the-inter125-high-speed-train/Tickets will be available from UK Rail Tours and will include free travel with LNER on any of its services either to reach the departure station or to return home.
Why? There is little publicity value in finishing the train in Edinburgh
Was there yellow on the coaches?
For Craigentinny staff as I understand it.Found this on RTT. Possibly a staff outing for LNER? Maybe why the Farewell set is going back up to Craigentinny?

Best bet that they'll use the Farewell setFor Craigentinny staff as I understand it.
I have applied and been granted a free ticket from KGX to LDS for the final leg of the tour! It’s been supplied as a TOD so I’ll collect it tomorrow and see what LNER have booked me on (I asked for the 0735 or 0803).LNER state in either direction, only saw this after purchasing my Advance:

I’ll try and get one up to Leeds and re-book my Advance for something else.
...As in Todmorden?I have applied and been granted a free ticket from KGX to LDS for the final leg of the tour! It’s been supplied as a TOD so I’ll collect it tomorrow and see what LNER have booked me on (I asked for the 0735 or 0803).
Ticket on Departure - Code to enter into a TVM to retrieve a paper ticket. Ticket is an Advance Single with Reservation and a value of £0.01. Very efficient service from LNER....As in Todmorden?
What is platform access like at KGX? Haven’t had reason to go there for a few years... just wondering about getting close enough to take photos of arrival / ECS departure?
Ah alright, I thought you meant it was a ticket to Todmorden which was confusing me a bit. Cheers.Ticket on Departure - Code to enter into a TVM to retrieve a paper ticket. Ticket is an Advance Single with Reservation and a value of £0.01. Very efficient service from LNER.
Rumour has it that LSL will get an LNER set, I would only make sense to get this set...I still wonder what is going to become of the flying banana set after the final LNER HST is over and what will become of 43206 and 43312 afterwards?
LSL is Locomotive Services Limited owned by Jeremy Hosking. It is nothing to do with GWRWell of course but LSL is run but GWR
And they did say a GWR set most likely.
I see so it’s still possible to have the HST with them then I assumeLSL is Locomotive Services Limited owned by Jeremy Hosking. It is nothing to do with GWR
Ahh wait you where telling the truth
Then 43206 and 43312 are destianed for LSL according to Wikipedia they plan to get a LNER HST maybe that unit
