Rail Europe and Omio mobile ticket delivery question

I am going to be booking tickets tomorrow for travel same day using Rail Europe and Omio and selecting mobile ticket delivery. Will both of these deliver the tickets as PDF files? I would rather not have to download any apps and have to activate tickets.

When I got an eTicket from Omio it was downloadable / printable with no need for an app.

The end result was, booking on the day, Rail Europe allowed a choice of either PDF ticket or collection at a TVM (no fee for either). Omio however only offered a (free) option of a ticket as PDF with no other options. Omio only waive the booking charge if you book on the day of travel.

Rail Europe PDF scanned at barriers no problem. Omio ticket would not scan at all (tried a number of stations)
