I'm trying to find where Stoke junction is after it being referred to in a book and have come to a loss.
My best bet is that it's here- 52.639742, -0.342984
I was wondering if anyone here could help me out.
Almost certainly here:
52.299129, -2.081528
Just south west of Bromsgrove
Between Peterborough and Grantham where 4 tracks become 2 on the approach to Stoke Tunnel.
(52.8376837, -0.5781585)
My only idea on its location is from a RTT trains link. It shows it’s after Peterborough and 5 minutes (for an HST setting of from stand still) from Grantham. It also has a place to put a full set HST and let it be overtaken.

There are numerous junctions named as such so you'll have to give a bit more of a clue as to the context.
ISTR it used to be slightly further north before electrification; the redundant trackbed and present junction can be clearly seen on satellite view maps.In which case it's the Peterborough side of Stoke Tunnel near Grantham where 4 tracks become 2.

I might have remembered this wrong but i'm sure they relocated it to improve the speed through the turnouts so that trains on the slow could merge with the main at speed and visa versa
