Wouldn’t surprise me if it was empty most of the way there and back to Whitby too.

Does anyone know how well that service is loading?

Here are 142065 and 142095 at Allens West earlier this afternoon with the 1322 from Saltburn to Darlington

There are no Northern services in the northeast tomorrow. It will be interesting to see if the set goes back to Heaton tonight, as that will give an idea of what might happen on Thursday.

Do we know if they returned to Heaton or remained at Darlington?

Them 4 that went to Heaton were on the list to be kept, so will these move to Gascoigne Wood or just be kept at spares at Heaton?

They will probably be moved to another depot if they are to be kept, northeast aren’t allowed to run anymore pacers now so they won’t be at Heaton

This thread has gone quiet since 01 Jan which is a little ironic as I thought people would be out in droves seeing which 142 is coupled to which 15X. Any interesting sightings yesterday or today?

I would but for the organising of stuff as kids go back to school Monday and we had to hide it all whilst having visitors over the festive period. (Cant remember where it was hidden lol)
Hope to drive to Hyde and see if anything is on the Rose Hill Man Picc service next week.

Great good luck in your quest. Southport to Alderley Edge often threw up a 142 + 150 in the latter weeks of 2019 but ironically it's been a single 150 yesterday and today - most of this week in fact I think. Be interesting to see what it throws up next week when loadings return to pre-20 Dec levels.

I went from Wigan to Stalybridge on Tuesday. I never saw a 142 all day and have not seen any passing through Wigan all week. I have seen a number of 158s however. I caught a Manchester to Stalybridge local service on Tuesday and even that was a 158. I am going to Stockport and Altrincham tomorrow and hoping to get one last pacer ride before they are finally withdrawn.

rose hill marple / new mills central should have a pacer on it

So far today:
142 051 on delayed 0839 Man Vic to Clitheroe, 142 090 with 158 908 on 09:09 to Blackburn (ex Rochdale), and 142 058 with 150 137 on 09:13 Victoria to Kirkby and 10:35 return.

142041, 043 and 045 were sat on #1 Holding siding on Newton Heath (next to the up Rochdale line, Thorpes Bridge Jn, easily visible from passing trains) in the early hours of this morning.
