Hi All,

While at Milton Keynes Central the other day, I noticed a man 'tapping out' with some sort of contactless card on a yellow TFL-esque reader. I didn't manage to get a glimpse of the card he was using, and was wondering if anyone knew if you could use contactless to MKC, or if its some sort of new (or old!) system?

Thanks in advance, John :))

The barriers are slightly different now - they have the QR code readers as well as the yellow pad I was talking about in my previous post - thanks for the reply

It'll either be someone on the Smartcard trial or a member of staff most likely, both of these groups have ITSO smartcards.

There are quite a lot of tickets on ITSO available these days, all over the place.

Are there any gatelines left on National Rail without smart card readers? The last one I know of was Paddington platforms 2-5 which recently had them fitted.

Metropolitan Police officers have smart cards for use on trains across Southeast England.
