4L75 reported fire near Daventry

4L75 is reported to have been "on fire" and is currently in the Daventry area with fire brigade present.
Train services suspended Northampton to Rugby.

86609 and 86607 are the locos on the service with 607 being the one affected. The engines have been detached from the rest of the train.

66585 (off 4M94) on the way to assist and clear the line and drag the train to Bletchley.

that'll be in the scrapyard this year then although i believe freightliner are looking to phase all of them out soon

Train just dragged through bletchley I think having dropped off firemen. Assuming any damage must have been on other side as both 86 looked fine

A reminder that in the year 2020 Freightliner is still hauling some trains with 54-year-old locos. In this case the traction had a combined age of 108!
