Tried to book a ticket for next Monday. All ok apart from seat reservation.

"We're sorry, but your reservation(s) for Hull (HUL) to London Kings Cross (KGX) on Monday 20 Jan 2020 could not be made. This is the error the reservations system gave us; 906:No inventory found with Retail Service ID GR1160 on 20/01/2020"

It means either that there are no seats available to reserve on that train, or that the booking system has been instructed not to let you have one, possibly because of seats being reserved to holders of certain ticket types.

Anytime. There were no AP tickets available.
In which case I suspect that there are no seat reservations available on that train full stop. Try booking without a seat reservation and see what happens.

It's the Hull service that they seem to be cutting to 5 coaches (due to the depot crash??).
Rather annoying às it's costing me a fortune in Monday morning tickets at the moment.
