Pleasantly surprised this morning.
Arrived Attleborough to find the ticket machine U/S as it is about 50% of the time. Only today it wasn't displaying an out of service message, but was frozen on a screen saying "Please collect your tickets and receipts".
There was a help button, which worked despite the rest of the screen being frozen. Pressed it fully prepared to walk the instant it connected to NREs useless call centre (which is what you get if you call the helpline number, after navigating endless menu choices, or use the platform help point). Blow me, a friendly Norfolk lady answered "Good morning, Greater Anglia, how can I help?".
"Hello, this ticket machine is frozen" (didn't think to say where I was)
"Ah yes, I can see that. It does happen from time to time. If you press the red button on the card keypad 2 or 3 times and wait it will reset. I'll stay with you until it does.... There you go, should all be working now."
I thought that was pretty impressive for 0630 in the morning.
So GA do get some stuff right. And the Stadlers are lovely!
