according to the RTT december timetable change the 170s not running on the Bridlington line anymoreThe Sheffield - Bridlington service is fully Class 170 operated but the Sheffield - Hull trains currently are class 142s.
Class 170s also work locals out of Hull towards Bridlington and Scarborough.
The other class 170s work the Leeds - York service as mentioned upthread.

yes it doesWhere in RTT does it say that ? RTT doesn't tell you what is diagrammed.
yes it does
Sheffield to Bridlington is not fully 170 operated. They do on occasion (probably once a week at least) put a 158 on it or even a 144.The Sheffield - Bridlington service is fully Class 170 operated but the Sheffield - Hull trains currently are class 142s.

On the plus side, it'll be great for visiting Hull (for the sake of visiting every city in the UK) and Knaresborough (one of the most picturesque towns in England), perfect for a 170 bash! Sheffield to Hull and Leeds to Knaresborough are routes I'm interested in riding now that 170s traverse those lines frequently! To visit Hull from Manchester, is it cheaper to go via Sheffield or the faster way via Leeds? Of course, I'd be splitting my ticket at Sheffield or Leeds either way!Sheffield to Bridlington is not fully 170 operated. Thanks for the info! Remind me to take the semi-fast Bridlington service over the stopper if I travel from Sheffield to Hull! The Sheffield - Bridlington service is fully Class 170 operated but the Sheffield - Hull trains currently are class 142s.
Hull-Sheffield and Hull-Leeds Off Peak Returns are the same price. It depends on how much Manchester-Leeds and Manchester-Sheffield is for you.On the plus side, it'll be great for visiting Hull (for the sake of visiting every city in the UK) and Knaresborough (one of the most picturesque towns in England), perfect for a 170 bash! Know any Northern staff that'll be able to sell me one of them £7 tickets that'd allow unlimited travel on all Northern services for the day? Might feel ripped off buying off-peak returns and later realising I could've gotten a Northern day ranger instead! Really wanna bash them 170s after all but need a more convenient way of doing so!Hull-Sheffield and Hull-Leeds Off Peak Returns are the same price. And a decent quality ride !Yes, it is the Halifax service in addition to the Sheffield to Scarborough and York to Harrogate and Leeds services. Like you say they are a good contrast to a 195 or 331, with no door problems etc.
Saw my first 170 doing a trip from Bradford to Halifax earlier this evening. Pacers are now a very rare sight (thankfully).
Was on the 13.35 Beverley to Scarborough yesterday, which was 170454, and back to Beverley on the 16.00 comprised of 170477. Both, as always, quick, comfortable, and punctual. These services are definitely one of Northern’s best. I actually was able to nap on both of them..
are some of the hull to Halifax 170 workings interworked with Sheffield to bridlington servicesThe two Harrogate diagrams were on 18 January, however I have just realised that the 09:54 Leeds to Hull originates in Halifax and the 14:15 Hull to Leeds continues on to Halifax. I believe this diagram has a separate thread.
