The B10s were due to come off a month ago but have been kept a while longer as there's nothing to replace them as of yet.

On another note there's word that Aberdeen are to loose 7 Geminis once our first batch of 15 new deckers arrive, so i wouldn't be shocked if they end up with Glasgow.

The B10BLEs are solid buses and amongst my favourite in the First fleet. Just a shame this style of bus which was once so dominant in Glasgow is soon to be gone.

I would imagine if any B9TLs are to come from Aberdeen they’ll join the Glasgow fleet like the FSE deckers.

Has there been any news on more buses coming this year? I think if there is an order this year then we’ll see the 51/02 stock go altogether with the 03/53 plate stuff perhaps replaced by cascades from other subsidiaries.

B10BLE/Renowns are my favourite type so i'll be bias and say i totally agree. There's talk of 62167 and 62178 in Aberdeen being reinstated....

Yeah i can't see elsewhere the B9TLs would go other than Glasgow. Since 37636 is already repainted i'd assume Aberdeen will retain 37633-37 with Glasgow getting 37638-44, certainly that would seem most logical. But since when has logic been a factor!

Not too sure regarding the new order, i suspect they were expecting deliveries just now (hence the original plan to have the B10s off in December). But with Wrightbus's production lines being shut i'm in no doubt that ADL are running behind scheduled with a higher volume of orders than normal.

I wonder if the plan is for Glasgow to get more ADL stock or whether they’ll add some Wright buses in there.

Yes 61604 and 61653 are still in Barbie.

I thought they were getting rid of Barbie at the timetable change and replace it with that awful white and blue livery.

Whether the product is bad or not means nothing. It comes down to costing unfortunately.

I disagree. Reliability, vehicle availability, aftermarket care and yes product quality do matter. In that regard the E400MMC tends to triumph the Streetdeck.

What was their excuse with the Streetlites then? <:D

The fact that the group switched to ADL for it's new single deckers... The only Streetlites bought since were the ones in Sheffield which were council funded (hence Stagecoach got Streetlites too).

Just for the record SJ51 DJO 61653 is scrapped, the machine will be getting used on another bus and just hasn't been reprogrammed for whatever one it's on, I've got a feeling it may be ex-Aberdeen B7RLE 69122 it's being used on as that's what replaced it to start with and also 69019 is at Dumbarton as well but the machine on that bus is correct as you'll see with the bus tracker. Noticed aswell that ex-Aberdeen B7RLE 69110 in Caledonia has 69093s machine even though Caley still has 69093

If it has been scrapped I must have seen its ghost in Dumbarton last night as having seen 61604 on the 208 that one couldn't have been on the 206.

Did anyone hear of anything like this on any bus?

On Monday or Tuesday(Had issues with buses on both days) I went for a 6 at the top of Hope St and people said to the driver they had waited for over an hour. It was 20 mins for me tbh. Has this ever happened to anyone here with a bus that is that frequent? Waited an hour for a 1 out of the city centre before but that was due to delays because of a march. The driver never mentioned any issue either on the 6 so it would be weird for 5/6 buses to vanish or be that late surely?

Passengers like to exaggerate most were probably waiting the same time as you.

People like to moan and exaggerate stories. This sounds like one of those moments.

Tbh I waited 55 mins for an 8 without one turning up the other day so it is definitely possible. I've always known the 6 to be horrendous even back to the days of the 66 but it felt a bit extreme to be that long although the 6A was fine so it could have been continuously clearing the bus stop as 3 of them came in the 20 mins I waited.

Most of the longest times I've waited on a bus have only involved 3 services tbh but I have waited 40/45 mins before on each of the 3 services(6/8/90).

61604, 61609 and 61653 were all out on the 206 today (as was, incidentally, Dart 43872). Here is 61653:

you are correct 61604 still going just now but it's days are numbered unfortunately as with the rest of the b10ble. They are being replaced with B7RLEs as I said months ago on here.

The order of new vehicles was suppose to be confirmed this month but so far no news.

Waited 45 mins on a 6 from EK. Was late for work. When a 31 does not appear thats an hour wait.

When theres snowfall causing chaos can be like that , buses running ad hoc.

Overtown’s 42886 appears to have been withdrawn for scrap.

I recall these buses being new and operating on the 240 then they were transferred to Scotstoun and most went to Cymru. Sad to see 05 plate stock go when there’s still 51 plates about.
