This thread is inspired by the unfortunate saga of GEX740F, one of three ultra-rare Leyland Atlantean single deckers new to Great Yarmouth. It was a regular on the preservation scene in the east of England for over 25 years in absolutely pristine condition. Sadly, the vehicle was purchased by a local "preservationist" in Yarmouth around a decade ago, who's left it to rot in a yard near Hopton-on-Sea. The owner will not sell, and spends most of his time on social media claiming it's the fault of others. It'll cost thousands in repair bills, assuming the bus even survives, which sadly isn't likely in its current location.
It got me thinking, are there any other relatively well-known preserved buses which have since disappeared, either for scrap or sold overseas?
