Did think about that but it seemed a bit tight. Maybe you walk faster than me!!

It's about a 7/8 minute walk :)

We cross the road to the Castle Entrance bus stop and board the 23:01 Stagecoach South Wales service 120 to Pontypridd (Bus Station) where we arrive at 23:27 on Monday evening.

We retire for the night and return in the morning, taking the 11 minute 0.5 mile walk to the railway station, where we board the 0518 Transport for Wales service 2Y03 to Barry Island, arriving there at 0624 on Tuesday morning.

Why do we keep ending up in/around Merthyr?! It's an absolute dump  there are plenty of other places we can explore.

As this is the terminus of the route, and it's the same bus heading back in the opposite direction, we are guaranteed a spot on the return working, so we board the 1455 Stagecoach South Wales service 79 to Pentrebach (Railway Station), arriving there at 1536 on Tuesday afternoon.

I almost put Thursday on the previous move too and then corrected it in time!

A bit short of buses at this time in the evening so we have time for a pint in the student bar before boarding the 20:47 First South Wales service 10 to Swansea (High Street Station) where we arrive at 21:02 on Thursday evening.

There's plenty of services still? 8 is every twenty minutes and the 10 is half hourly at 17 and 47 minutes past?

We then take the 2227 Transport for Wales service to Whitland arriving at 2337 on Tuesday.

We then board the 2357 Transport for Wales service 1E55 to Carmarthen, arriving there at 0018 in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Unfortunately, the seven minute minimum connection time at this station precludes the use of the 0237 service to Carmarthen, so we take advantage of the overnight travel relaxation rule and board the 0650 Transport for Wales service to Clarbeston Road that arrives at 0714 on Wednesday morning.

It's the same train, so it wouldn't have mattered :)

We then catch the 0727 Transport for Wales service to Clunderwen arriving at 0734 on Wednesday morning.

We then board the 0819 Transport for Wales service 1W56 to Newport, arriving there at 1104 on Wednesday morning.

The above extract from the quiz rules seems to say otherwise.
It's a different service. Fishguard Harbour is the terminus. Thus, the following rule applies:
You should use the first available service to reach your destination after allowing for the minimum interchange time.
  • An exception to this applies where the following service is formed of the same exact vehicle as the preceding service (applicable all day).
