As part of an advertising promotion by internet giant Amazon, on 15th and 16th January 2020 Piccadilly Circus London Underground tube station was renamed Picardilly Circus.
The promotion was for a new Star Trek series which it will be possible to watch on the Amazon Prime streaming television service.
The new series is called Star Trek:Picard - the name is in honour of Jean-Luc Picard who is the central character.
I went there and took some still image photos and video. A few of my photos are below. They show both modified name signs on Piccadilly and Bakerloo line platforms and a way-finding sign plus advertisements on platform tunnel walls (Piccadilly line, with part of a train) and on a station passage wall.
There is also a video - which I have placed in the films and videos section here at Railforums.
This should be a direct link to that (I gave it a slightly different thread name)
