Class 47 in Eastleigh works

Just had a wonderful 12hours around Eastleigh and wondered if anyone knows the number of the shabby res 47 in the yard just off Campbell road...I think it was in the Arlington section. Many thanks

I think this is Colne Valley Railway, assuming it's not changed hands, 47771 at Eastleigh for restoration

47771 belongs to The Class 47 Preservation Project. The loco moved from CVR to Eastleigh in march/April 2017.

Thanks, I wondered why there was no mention of it on the CVR site, the Class 47 PP site seems to be extremely out of date

There’s lots of stock in Eastleigh that doesn’t seem to be in a particular rush to refurbish. The ex Chiltern Departmentals being a prime example, as well as the old LU stock there as well.

I'm assuming progress is limited by the rate at which funds are made available. Agree the cl47pp website info seems dated
