I have been told on a Facebook group that the B9 / Wright deckers currently used on the X39 are due for transfer to Hengrove for Service 24 (Ashton Gate - Southmead Hospital) and may well be branded for that route.

The bus shelters at Parkway are being replaced, but I wonder if the new ones will be metrobus ones.
Someone (GWR? Freeman?) Did say a while ago that the works to allow buses to enter the station from Hunts Ground Rd and serve the station bus stops was likely to happen in spring 2020, so it may be this, meaning the road layout may be changing to accommodate this access.

I will be interested to see what colours the X39 branding uses. I wonder if they will name it also (as with the Wells routes being "Mendip Explorer") and all it the Abbey Explorer (bearing in mind that Bristol Cathedral was, prior to 1539, known as St. Augustine's Abbey)?

Dave
If I remember correctly it was a two tone blue type of branding. I’ll try and take a pic tomorrow as it was on the latest weekly letter from mr James the boss.

For anyone in Bath - U3 is running, contrary to bustimes! Featured 10173, 10178, 10183, 33943, 33948 today. Also, seems 69443 is back in action after taking some hefty damage Saturday afternoon on its 1211 run on the 172.

Briefly, to those with good knowledge of the 126 - what is its general daily allocation? Seems to me to be 2 or 3 59reg RLEs and a streetlite as of late. But I have few days of bustimes data to go by, and it seems there were older RLEs on last week on Fri and Sat? Thanks!

The 126 is booked for B7RLEs. It was 3 from Wells but is now 2 as one board is now worked by Weston - that board is the StreetLite as that is Weston’s main single deck fleet.

Traditionally, it has always had the older vehicles (e.g. 66720/1/6). Whilst nowadays 66720 and 66942 would be the likely theoretical ones to use, the reality is that 59 plates are often used anyway and have always done so - a small Wells allocation demands flexibility.

Isn’t it 7 - 39481-8 (less missing 39486)? Replaced 36801-5/21. 39489 is the red spare replacing 36806, whilst 39491/2 are the ones in urban.
It does appear weird that they've acquired two new vehicles in First livery despite all the schemes being introduced and JF's use of the generic Grey livery for spare buses at Reading which has now spread to First at Worcester with their 'Your usual bus is being maintained' livery.

I was similarly surprised. Have to say that I'm not sold on the First Spare Bus concept in Worcester - seems a bit twee? Get you need neutral vehicles (i.e. not route branded) but think that the m-ticket promo livery is a better way of doing so. A neutral livery that actually promotes something....

I think the Urban gas busses are the neutral grey fronted version the same as the Scanias

Looking on bus times at some of the buses that are tracking on odd routes (for whatever reason)

10036 - On the Bath 3 yesterday evening
32280 - On the X39 this evening
33827 - On the Weston 7 yesterday
33935 - On the 22 this morning
36820 - On the Bristol 3/4 today (I would love that to become more long term!)
37013 - On the 42/43
69510 - On the X39

33280 and 69510 are probably correct as a Discover B7RLE and an Urban ALX400 appeared in Bristol Bus Station on X39s within the last hour or so.

With regards to 33827 on the 7 in Weston, that must have been all that was available. After the Badgerline Geminis, it’s supposed to be one of the Presidents or Urban E400s and as a last resort a Streetlite or Dart in the daytime. I don’t know if has happened yet, the allocation for the 7 on a Sunday will be a Dart or Streetlite like it is at night.

36820 crossed the centre next parallel to 69510 earlier, the latter looking rather cosy!

36821 was out earlier in the new X39 colours. It’s a Badgerline wedge livery with the 3 similar colours to the Atlantic Coaster.

This is only a guess. So far none of 33835-40/57 have appeared as themselves on the tracker. I guess one of these has acquired 10036's ticket machine as I think this bendi is probably off the road. Similarly 33835 was running as 30877 a couple of weeks ago, before 877 was transferred to LH.

From Steve White (On Facebook) apparently the new brand launches in April

I like that. Just what is needed on X39, something unique that stands out. Think this could look really good once full branding is applied. This has been needed a long time.

Almost resembles a 3-tone version of the Electricity livery on 39191-2. Certainly will add yet more colour to an already eclectic mix in Bath bus station!!
The A4 through Brislington will be feeling very blue now with this and the P&R!

Haven’t heard of any of the Bolton E400s going on the Bath Uni Routes yet (Some posts might’ve missed me!), but 33836 and 33839 are on the Night U1, leaving the campus on the hour, and quarter past respectively.

It appeared at lunchtime on Bay 18 in Bristol Bus Station for around 10 minutes and it is a nice colour, though could get mistaken for Arriva lol.

The seats have indeed been changed and are now grey leather, so presumably swapped with one of the m2 buses. Couldn’t see if it has been completely debranded inside.

One thing I did notice though, when the vinyls were stripped from the outside, the m3 sticker has been left over the destination and the metrobus stickers on both sets of doors.
